Demo Diva Demolition Services
Your residence is part of your neighborhood. Your neighborhood is part of your community. Your community is part of your city. Don’t abandon your city by abandoning your home.
The Demo Diva crew frequently works in the most challenging of environments where assets are to be protected, environmental factors need to be addressed and schedules are challenging.
If your home was torn down by the City of New Orleans or FEMA, they will not take your slab. Demo Diva will give you a free estimate to break up your slab and haul all concrete away.
Demo Diva specializes in 10, 15 and 30 yard roll-off for residential and commercial applications in New Orleans and the surrounding metropolitan area. Since our start, Demo Diva has been committed to providing quality customer service and affordable prices to meet any of your dumpster hauling needs.
Remember, all dump fees are included in our hauling packages with an exception for things like tires and other hazardous materials that make our planet icky… Those incur additional charges of course.
Selective and Architectural Salvage
Our passion is New Orleans – past, present and future! Before beginning demolition of a home or building, we remove columns, cypress doors, crown molding, vintage door knobs, and all other architectural elements that are a preservation of our past.
ICC Funds & Insurance Work
If you had flood insurance at the time of Hurricane Katrina, you may qualify for ICC Funds to cover the cost of your slab removal or house demolition. get in touch with Demo Diva, we handle all the paperwork for you!
Increased Cost of Compliance (ICC) is part of the National Flood Insurance Program.
Demo Diva will begin the paperwork process to qualify you, the homeowner, to receive ICC funds:
- Obtain the damage assessment report that shows over 50% damage
- Obtain demolition permit from Parish Government
- Obtain Letter of Substantial Damage from Parish Government
- Pay for the up-front cost of the Elevation Survey
- Notify utility companies to disconnect: Water turned off at meter, gas line removed and electrical wire to house to be cut away from house

Once all paperwork is gathered and submitted, the homeowner will receive a Proof of Loss statement which will need to be signed and returned. Some flood insurance companies require the Proof of Loss to be notarized.
A check for 50% of the contracted amount will be mailed directly to the homeowner. Demo Diva will perform demolition upon receipt of the first half of these funds.
Following demolition, backfill will be dropped and graded on property. Demo Diva will take pictures of completed job, file them with the parish, and obtain the Certificate of Completion. This certificate is sent to the flood insurance company and the final check is mailed to the homeowner. Final payment is due immediately once you have received the check from the flood insurance company.
The contracted amount is covered by your ICC funds once you are approved by your Flood Insurance Company.
